As a system integrator, My company is well aware of the technologies available to make our clients lives easier…The deployment of Microsoft Dynamics has also had a major impact on the company’s ability to operate. “One big area that we’ve been able to focus on is reporting, in terms of KPIs and business intelligence (Now we start using the power of PowerBI tools). There have been a lot of advances in Dynamics and the supporting tools to make it easier to produce different types of reports, and the ability to allow end users to customise, specifically things like SQL reporting services that are part of SQL 2008.
We were using an old version of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Two versions old in fact,” we realised. “When we upgraded to the latest version – and I think we were one of their first customers to go live with the latest version which is Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 – we also moved to the latest versions of all the underlying technology. That includes the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server 2014. We’ve also moved from 32-bit to 64-bit servers. All done by our IT in-house team. We are one of the first company to deploy the hosting solution on Microsoft Product in the middle east with local partners such as ASP gulf and Etisalat. We have hosted our ERP system at Etisalat data centre, with the hosting manage capabilities of ASP gulf.
In the month of June, 2010, we have migrated our Exchange server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010 and after 2 years we decided to move to Office 365 platform. We have upgraded our major meeting rooms with Lync room enabled; using Crestron RL and Lync (now known as Skype for Business). Updating meeting status with Evoke Room Manager devices.
Implementing more and more Microsoft Product in our environment makes our productivity goes high. This is due to the tight integration within their products. We try to do early adaptation, when it comes to technology. We also face a lot of issues related to these adaptation. This is due to the lack of readiness with other products and then go for a work around till it gets resolved.
When i realise that our On-Premises data centre is not a viable solution for the future full proof concept for eliminating business downtime, we decide to move our critical server to Microsoft Azure platform.

- Great Plains 2010 live in 15 days with our in-house team done on October 2010
- Upgrade of 2010 to GP 2013 done on August 2013- Complete customisation has been re-created to Dexterity DLL & .Net platform in order to go native and remove VB dependency.
- Upgrade of GP 2013 to 2015 done on January 2015. This time we implemented our ERP system into Azure cloud and done GP Web Client, which natively runs on browser with Silverlight plugin but having issues. We even try to publish Remote Apps for GP. Right now client is accessing the software through Remote Apps. GP Web Client production is now suspended until the newer version.

Latest implementation to replace our existing Firewall to Enterprise class Barracuda NG series is an added advantage. This will help us to integrate our entire branch and control it centrally using Barracuda NG control centre. A great product that is able to manage and control centrally and at the same time, it supports Azure platform as well
Implementing all the documents with Rights Management enabled is one of the major task we achieved. We enabled our users to start using OneDrive for Business to store their document, which will give them their document mobility and data security.
Started the implementation of Azure Active Directory Premium enabling for our domain.
Scheduled: Removing our legacy PABX system with Skype for Business Server.
